The SP-O sensor holder is threaded to accept a 1/2" NPT conduit fitting. The SP-M style sensors have a 3/8" NPT mounting thread and are generally used in conjunction with SP-H style holder. The SP-H holder has a 2" NPT mounting thread, a 1/2" conduit entry hole and accepts from 1 to 3 SP-M style sensors. All sensors may be easily extended to the desired installation depth using standard 3/8" IPS pipe and a pipe coupling. Options Both the SP-O & SP-M sensors are available in three temperature ranges. Description The Scully SP-O and SP-M models are point level thermistor-liquid level sensors for use with Scully self-checking control monitors. They are used in storage tanks, double containment piping trenches, and other fixed applications to signal the level of liquid product when it reaches a predetermined height. The sensors are solid state devices with no moving parts. The SP-O models are generally used when a single sensing point is needed in a tank. Typical applications include high level warning and/or shutdown, low level warning, fuel reorder and double wall storage tank interstitial space monitoring. SP-Mmodels are also used for the same applications as above, but are used in conjunction with the SP-H multi-sensor holder when two or three sensors are needed in a single tank. The model SP-H holder allows from 1 to 3 SP-M sensors to be conveniently installed into a single 2" NPT tank opening. A common use of the SP-M/SP-H combination is for a storage tank’s “high” and “high-high” level warning points.
