This unit is used to verify the integrity and performance of Scully optic sensors mounted on tank vehicles. In use, a cable and plug from the unit is connected to the vehicle’s overfill detection socket. When the tester is operated, a solid state lamp on the unit will light if the vehicle’s overfill protection system is operational and all optic sensors are dry. Diagnostic lamps on the tester pinpoint the problem location if a sensor is wet or if a fault exists in the system wiring or sensors. The ST-2-OTR optic truck tester may also be used to check individual Scully optic sensors on or off vehicles by connecting the leads from the sensor to five binding posts on the tester. A socket on the rear of the unit provides means for checking the proper performance of Scully Biclops® , ST-35, ST-47 loading rack monitors. The tester is powered by an internal 12 volt dry cell battery. A battery check lamp is provided in the unit. A selector switch on the tester sets the unit for the type of sensors expected by the loading rack control unit. Individual LED indicators on the tester check cable continuity. Push buttons on the tester permit channel-bychannel checking of the loading rack’s ability to respond to a wet sensor. The Universal Loading Rack Tester is powerd by the loading rack control to which it is connected. The unit may also be used to check the performance of Scully Biclops, ST-6, ST-35, ST-47 units, and other loading rack control units wired to API RP1004 standards.
