CSF5003 - May 2006 - Revision 0 F5003| SDS API ADAPTOR LOADING AND UNLOADING GUIDE On arrival at the loading bay, the display must show “ empty” (fig 1). Any residue from the previous delivery will run down the API valve and may cause the display to show “API wet”. Loading can commence with display showing as either “ empty” or “empty” & “API wet” (fig 2). On commencement of loading, the display will read “ unsealed” (skipping) and “ API wet” (fig 3). At completion of loading, when the API valve is closed, the display will show “sealed” & “ API wet” (fig 4). On arrival at the delivery point, the display will show “ sealed” & “API wet” (fig 4). 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Upon opening the emergency valve, and the API valve, to commence delivery, the display will show “unsealed” ( flashing) and “API wet” (fig 5). When the compartment and run-off pipe are empty of product, the “API wet” indication will be extinguished. With the API adaptor remaining open, close the emergency valve to display a solid “unsealed” message ( fig 6). When the emergency valve is closed then re-opened, the display will show “empty” ( fig 1). Only when the display shows “empty” is the product delivery complete. 7. 8. 9. HOW THE SEALED DELIVERY SYSTEM WORKS The indicator on top of the API valve gives a continuous display of the product status of the compartment, and run off pipes to which the valve is attached. The display indicates five states:- SEALED, UNSEALED, EMPTY, BATTERY and API WET. A black rectangle indicates which state, or states, are current. The remainder of the display is blank.
