Absorbedwater is chemically locked into thismedia. Whena cartridge reaches itswater holding capacity, its accordionpleats swell andcause an increase in thedifferential pressure which signals theoperator tochange the cartridge. Solidcontaminants are removed by the cartridge’s twoparticulate filtermedia layers. Thepleated accordion styledesignprovides a large surface area formaximumdirt holding capacity.Models areoffered for particulate filtrationdown to 1/2micrometer sizewith98%plus efficiency.
