Barrel siphons are used to reduce the temperature of the medium before reaching the instrument. WGI Pigtail Siphonsare recommended for services involving temperatures above 100°F (37°C). On steam service, the siphon will prevent steam from entering a pressure gauge, diaphragm seal or transmitter. WGI Pigtail siphons are available in carbon and 316 stainless steel.
