All tubing, risers and fittings are certified to the CSA B137.4 specification and must be installed in accordance with the B149 code. Constab Mechanical fittings are designed to seal on the inside of the tube and reduce the possibility of a leak occurring due to scratches on the OD of the PE 2406 Poly tube. Easily installed without special tools or costly equipment. Simply chamfer the inside of the tube, mark the stab depth and insert the tube into the fitting. The internal seal enables each fitting to seal on scratched pipe. A seal is maintained on the smooth inside surface of the polyethylene pipe, regardless of the exterior surface of the piping. This improved seal protection creates the ultimate design for mechanical joints. Constab® Mechanical Fittings up to 1” sizes are supplied from the factory. A Chamfer tool compatible with these fittings is available separately.
