One of the ways ZCL addresses the changing needs of the marketplace is to meet the functional requirements of system designers and owners. When it comes to the wastewater market, ZCL has developed a line of accessories to complement the full range of its wastewater tanks. Shown here are just a few of these accessories, including access openings, piping connections, baffles/ partition walls, sumps, risers and deadmen. Optional Tank Accessories to Fit a Variety of Wastewater Applications 8 ZCL can install fibreglass access openings in wastewater tanks. These access openings serve a variety of purposes, including inspection, tank access, or to install equipment. They are available in a range of sizes, from 22 inches to 48 inches in diameter and can be used along with ZCL provided risers made of FRP or PVC. Access Openings Depending on the application, water tanks require a variety of accessories for piping connections. ZCL offers fibreglass flanged fittings in a wide range of sizes, as well as threaded fittings. Simple pipe stubs in either FRP or PVC are also available. These pipe fittings and connections can be installed in tanks in a multitude of locations, including the tank bottom in order to provide complete drainage. Piping Connections Depending on the type of system design, a ZCL water tank may require a submerged pump attached to the bottom of the tank. Among the available accessories are pump platforms designed to support submerged pumps. Pump mounting plates and hardware can also be incorporated, to make the field installation of the pump quick and easy. Pump Platforms Prefabricated concrete deadmen are available for installations that have, or may have a water table condition. When used with ZCL’s hold-down straps, they provide an anchoring system. Deadmen are pre-cast to a strict concrete design code for reliability. In most cases they can be shipped along with the tank, thereby expediting the installation process. Piping Connections
