Optional Tank Accessories to Fit a Variety of Water Applications 8 Access Openings ZCL can install fibreglass access openings for water tanks. These access openings serve a variety of purposes, including inspection, tank access, or to install equipment. They are available in a range of sizes, from 22 inches to 48 inches in diameter and can be used along with ZCL provided risers. One of the ways ZCL addresses the changing needs of the marketplace is to meet the functional requirements of system designers and owners. When it comes to the water storage market, ZCL has developed a line of accessories to complement the full range of its water tanks. Shown here are just a few of these accessory options. ZCL can also fabricate a wide range of custom tank accessories to meet the needs of a specific storage design. Please contact your ZCL sales representative regarding custom fabrication needs. Depending on the application, water tanks require a variety of accessories for piping connections. ZCL offers fibreglass flanged fittings in a wide range of sizes, as well as threaded fittings. Simple pipe stubs in either FRP or PVC are also available. These pipe fittings and connections can be installed in tanks in a multitude of locations, including the tank bottom in order to provide complete drainage. Piping Connections Prefabricated concrete deadmen are available for installations that have, or may have a water table condition. When used with ZCL’s hold down straps, they provide an anchoring system. Deadmen are pre-cast to a strict concrete design code for reliability. In most cases they can be shipped along with the tank, thereby expediting the installation process. Prefabricated Concrete Deadmen FRP Ladders Ladders can be factory installed in manways or access openings, providing convenience for future tank entry. Ladder materials can be FRP, aluminum or carbon steel. Certain limitations may apply.
