9 Large Diameter Bottom Sump One example of an innovation introduced by ZCL is the large diameter tank bottom sump, which is designed to be an alternative to the use of a separate wet well along side the storage tank when full use of a tank’s capacity is neccessary. Among the available accessories are pump platforms designed to support submerged pumps. Pump mounting plates and hardware can also be incorporated, to make the field installation of the pump quick and easy. Pump Platforms Access Risers In order to achieve access to a tank from grade, ZCL supplied risers are designed for use with access openings or manways. These are available in FRP or poly materials. FRP bolt on surface covers are also available in certain diameters. A variety of riser designs, including a hinged and lockable model can be specified.
